Nail Clipping

Some dogs never need their nails clipping as their exercise on hard surfaces such as the pavement wear the nails down naturally, although if they have dewclaws they will require clipping as they have a tendency to grow fast and curly and can cause pain if left to grow long enough to pierce the paw pad.

Others that are exercised in fields and woodlands will not wear the nails down and will therefore require clipping to keep them short and comfortable.

Clipping the claws can be a very quick process…or very long depending on the dog! Some don’t even notice it being done, whilst others are more sensitive and therefore require a little longer to ensure they are comfortable.

Do call us if your dog doesn’t require a groom but you would like to make an appointment to have their nails clipped. This service is £5. As we operate by appointment, we don’t currently have the facility to accept walk ins.
