A full groom is the full works!
A pre-bath health check will be completed which inspects the skin, eyes, the mouth, ears and hair. It helps to establish if there are any matts or any abnormalities such as lumps or sores that you may not have been aware of. By assessing the dog prior to the grooming process, this determines the type of shampoo used, for example sensitive or deep cleansing and the final styling of the dog.
A lovely bubbly bath will follow using only natural shampoos, which may take the form of 2 in 1 conditioning shampoo for curly coated dogs, deep cleansing shampoo for very dirty dogs, sensitive shampoo for dogs with light to moderate skin allergies and complaints.
This is followed by a great blow dry & brush out! The root of the hair to the ends will be thoroughly dried and brushed ensuring there are no knots at all left in the hair, ready for styling.
Your dog will be styled according to it’s breed and your requirements, whether it’s a breed standard cut, a Teddy Bear cut for the poodle mixes or de-shedding for the long haired double coated dogs.
Nails, hygiene clipping and ear cleaning is also part of the full groom.
During this process your dog will have breaks and time will be taken to ensure that the experience is as stress free as possible for them. Some absolutely love being bathed and groomed, whilst others need more encouragement and time to adjust to everything.
